Magzhan and Zylykha
Despite the fact that they knew each other from a young age, their way to happiness was long.
Zylykha was the first daughter of Kurmanbay-kazhi, who lived in Kyzylzhar (now Petropavlovsk). However, at five she and her brother lost their father. They were brought up by their mother - Djamilya. Since there were no Kazakh schools in Kyzylzhar in those years, Zylykha and her brother were given to the Tatar madrasah where there the future poet studied. But after the end of six classes, the mother took the girl home: the future mother and wife had to be taught housekeeping - sewing, cooking ...
Before entering the schools "Galiya" Zhumabaev sends her a letter: "Sister Zyliha! Please write to me. I'm going to study. If you would agree to wait for me? "Zylykha could not answer the letter, and could not say him, that he liked her.
In 1913, At the insistence of her mother, she married a merchant Hasan Mukhamedyarova. A year later Magzhan came to his native places: in the form of a seminarian, he knocked at the house of the Mukhamedyarovs. According to the custom of hospitality, Zylikha gave the poet tea, and during the conversation he told that he had entered the seminary of Omsk and had come for a vacation. Then he asked: "And where is your husband?". A young woman replied that her husband comes after the store is closed. In order not to compromise someone else's wife, Magzhan hastily left the house ... But they were destined to meet again, already in Omsk, where the husband brought his wife to heal the eyes. Then, leaving her to continue treatment, he returned home. Zilykha lived in the house of Megesh Ablaykhanov. Once a threesome - with a girl named Amina Kuanyshova and a young man named Sapa - they went to the film "Mustafa", where they unexpectedly met with Magzhan. After the movie, the couple broke up. Magzhan again asked Zylykha: why did not she answer the letter? A young woman said that she can not contradict the will of her mother ...
The well-known scientist Sabit Mukanov studied the biography of Magzhan in detail, writes that Magzhan even escaped from the wedding for her sake. She too was waiting for her time. Zylykha, who loved him all these years, offered to flee to Chelyabinsk, and she herself had to fly there with her documents and money. In 1989, I met with her. Not long after they lived in Chelyabinsk, they left for Tashkent, lived in the house of Sultanbek Khodzhanov, he helped Magzhan in the publication of his first book.
In the same year, Magzhan was sent from the Turkestan Republic to Moscow to the Higher Literary and Art Institute. V. Ya. Bryusova. By analogy with the poets' unions Magzhan decided to create a literary union of Kazakh writers "Alka" ("Collegium"), wrote the program, but it was never created. In 1929, on a false charge, the poet was arrested in Petropavlovsk, then sentenced to 10 years for recourse to the Alashdrians as a pan-Turkist and a Japanese spy. Before the trial he was in Moscow, in Butyrka, and served in Karelia and the Arkhangelsk region, on the White Sea canal.
- Zylykha, like the wife of the Decembrists, followed him. But she was not allowed to stay there for long. She pestered to the thresholds of high offices and asked him to release. To bribe and support officials, they left all their jewelry. She was helped by the founder of the Alash-Orda party, Alikhan Bukeikhanov, deported to Moscow, and Ekaterina Peshkova, Gorky's wife, Kalila Umarov.
In 1934, his wife sent a letter from Maxim Gorky. Two years later, thanks to his help, Zhumabayev was released from the camp of political prisoners in Svir. But one and a half years later, on December 30, 1937, he was again arrested in Alma-Ata, and on March 19, 1938, he was shot by the NKVD.
Zylykha collected Magzhan's works all his life. As if knew that his work would be in demand after many years of oblivion.
Magzhan and Zeinep
In early 1918, the poet was arrested by representatives of the "Ush Zhuz" party, he spent about 7 months in prison in Omsk. There he wrote a complete poem "Jean-jarymdy bir suyin tisimde" ("I will kiss my beloved in a dream"), addressed to Zeynep wife - Shokan Valikhanov's niece, whom he married before the end of the seminary. The marriage was happy, but short lived.
The chosen one is charming, intelligent, beautiful. It seemed that ahead, in dreams, like all young people, was a long and bright life. But fate is ruthless towards him: as if testing a poet, she brings disaster upon him one by one. On February 10, 1919, during his birth, his wife Zeynep died. The born child was given the name Azamat (probably because he was born during the Civil War). But the baby died of pneumonia in 9 months. After experiencing a deep shock, Magzhan wrote a poem "On the tomb of the baby."
Magzhan and Gulsum
In 1919, the government of "Alash-Orda" dissolved. This time - the beginning of acceptance by the poet of the new power. Even during the family life Magzhan opened a pedagogical course in Omsk, became a director. The teacher of mathematics worked there Gulsum Kamalova.
- As soon as Magzhan did not try to attract attention of the impregnable beauty Gulsum! - says Kalila (the director made a film about Magzhan). - Once, even specially bought a pince-nez, like Chekhov or Blok, to seem more serious and respectable to her. But since the usual glasses in a pince-nez at that time was not, he bought with dioptries, although his eyesight was fine. Seeing that Gulsum is walking along the street, he put on his pince-nez and went to her. But he did not notice that a tree was near, and he hit his forehead. That was embarrassment!
Gulsum's heart won the poet only after writing poetry once in her absence. She replied in the same way - in verse.
According to Kalila Umarov, the beautiful Gulsum was married to the Simbirsk factory owner Gabdulla Akchurin. He, having learned about their connection, became very angry.
